Upgrading a home in Wellington? Pavers by Silva brings premium paver installation, pool decks, driveways and remodels to homeowners across Wellington and the rest of Palm Beach County.
Wellington was laid out as a planned community starting in the 1970s, so most of its housing is newer than in the coastal cities and sits inside named neighborhoods. Binks Forest has golf course homes from the 1980s and 1990s, many with original concrete driveways and screened pool decks. Olympia and Versailles are gated communities built in the 2000s, where builder pavers are now old enough to have faded, shifted or stained. The Equestrian Club sits near the horse show grounds, and farther into the equestrian area properties get larger, some with barns and paddocks.
That mix decides the work. In the older sections we replace concrete with pavers and widen driveways for extra parking. In the gated communities, owners tend to ask for a larger patio, a pad for an outdoor kitchen or a new pool deck surface. Horse properties need long drives, barn aprons and parking courts.
Size and load are the main factors on a Wellington job. A driveway that carries horse trailers, feed deliveries or a motor coach needs a deeper compacted base and a thicker paver than a standard residential drive, and we size both to the vehicles you expect. Long drives on acre lots also need a firm edge restraint so the pavers do not spread over time. In gated communities, many associations ask to approve exterior changes before work starts, so allow time for that step.

Yes, if it is built for that load. We use a deeper compacted base and thicker pavers where trailers, delivery trucks or large vehicles will drive and turn. Tell us what will use the driveway and we will design the base and paver thickness around it.
It depends on your community. Many Wellington neighborhoods have an association that reviews exterior changes such as a new driveway or pool deck. Check your community’s rules before work is scheduled, and we can provide the product details and layout drawing a review usually asks for.
